David Harriman of Falling Apple Science talks about promoting the understanding of science in schools.
David Harriman has worked as a physicist for the U.S. Department of Defense and taught philosophy at California State University, San Bernardino. He is the editor of Journals of Ayn Rand. He has lectured on the scientific revolution, the concept of “space,” and the influence of Kantian philosophy on modern physics. He is currently writing two books: one demonstrating the influence of philosophy on modern physics (The Anti-Copernican Revolution), and another presenting Dr. Leonard Peikoff’s theory of induction (The Logical Leap). His op-Eds have been published in numerous newspapers and magazines, including USA Today, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Orange County Register, the Sacramento Bee, Capitalism Magazine and the Denver Post.
David has founded the non-profit Falling Apple Science Institute to apply the ideas presented in The Logical Leap to K-12 science education.
